The use of reflexotherapy and homeopathy for the treatment of gastroenteritis of calves

Gastroenteritis is one of main causes of death or forced slaughter of young cattle and brings considerable economic losses.The purpose of our work was to investigate influence of reflexotherapy and homeopathy on a gastroenteritis of young cattle.Methods. The experiment was conducted on calves of Holstein breed at the livestock breeding complex in the Amur region in summer.Results. The decrease of leukocytes by 35%, bilirubin by 27%, the increase of albumin, urea and glucose at 18, 26 and 42%, respectively have been revealed as a result of this research. Conclusion. These evidence show the effectiveness of the use of acupuncture and homeopathy in combination with pathogenic and antibiotic therapy, reducing duration of treatment of calves at catarrhal gastroenteritis. There is a more intensive weight increasing at the same time.
