Surface layer of quartz-based wear-resistant structural ceramic after machining

The hardness of quartz ceramic is investigated by means of an electronic microhardness meter. The dependence of the hardness on the roasting temperature and on the porosity of the blank is determined. © 2011 Allerton Press, Inc.
