Medical and social characteristics of patients with dental implantation in dental healthcare providers of various forms of ownership

Introduction. Dental implantology treatment is a medical procedure, the demand for which is constantly increasing today. Aim. The aim of the study is to analyze the sociological data of patients, and to study their opinions regarding the dental services provided to them. Materials and Methods. The basis for the study was medical and social data, such as gender, age, and education, of patients who applied for any dental care related to dental implantation in medical institutions of private (limited liability company) and public (clinical and diagnostic medical center at a higher education institution) forms of ownership. Results and Discussion. The objectives of the study were to obtain the patients’ generalized characteristics in form of a typical social portrait, as well as to assess the patient satisfaction levels with the functional and cosmetic efficiency of the surgical and orthopedic dental-implant-based treatment. The findings obtained can be useful in planning promotional campaigns and evaluating their effectiveness, and the data are also important for identifying risk groups for patient adherence to treatment with dental implants. Conclusions. The analysis presented can be considered as a methodologically sound tool for identifying key factors affecting the efficiency and availability of dental services. © 2025 LLC IMC Modern Clinical Medicine.
