Migraine is one of the most common causes of headaches, which significantly decreases the quality of life of people; it affects women after puberty more often and, due to difficulties in diagnosis and patient adherence, is underdiagnosed in men. Migraine is also associated with psychiatric disorders, especially anxiety and depression, which can worsen migraine severity and prognosis. Research shows a close relationship between chronic migraine and anxiety disorders due to the common pathogenesis; consequently, early evaluation and effective multidisciplinary treatments promote a holistic approach to neurological and mental health management. © 2025 Stavropol State Medical University.
