Surface Deformation Effect in the In–Ga–Sn Liquid Metal System with Hemispherical Electrodes

Abstract: A system with a eutectic In–Ga–Sn alloy between hemispherical electrodes is considered. The deformation of the surface of the liquid conductor under the action of an electromagnetic force is investigated. Experimental and calculated values of the current at which the liquid is detached and a discharge occurs are presented as functions of the diameter of the small electrode. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. 2025.
