A conformal antenna array as an integral part of a multichannel medical radiothermograph

A design for a broadband printed “figure-of-eight” slot antenna is proposed for use as elements of a conformal antenna array for studying human lungs by microwave radiothermometry. A method for increasing the noise immunity of the antenna by application of an absorbing material to the outer surface of the shielding case is proposed. The mutual influences of closely spaced antennas were studied. Use of the proposed noise-resistant antenna design in the conformal antenna array of a multichannel multifrequency radiothermograph increases its noise immunity. © Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.
