The article examines the problem of Hong Kong's position as one of the most important dominants in East Asia and the center of the Cantonese region. Since its return to the PRC, there has been a problem of political dualism regarding Hong Kong. On the one hand, Beijing has guaranteed Hong Kong to retain its autonomous status for 50 years, while on the other hand, it has been conducting an offensive against the region's independence. These actions have given rise to a number of problems studied in this article.
