Effect of liquid medium viscosity on laser cleaning of surface with artificial radioactive contamination

We present a cleaning method for stainless steel surfaces coated to simulate radioactive contamination. The simulated contamination was removed using laser radiation with a wavelength of 1 μm and pulse durations of 8 ns and 270 fs. For both gas and liquid environments, the most effective cleaning approaches were identified. © 2024 IEEE.
