POLYCRISIS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2030 AGENDA IN CHILE; [ПОЛИКРИЗИС И РЕАЛИЗАЦИЯ ПОВЕСТКИ 2030 В ЧИЛИ]; [LA POLICRISIS Y LA IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE LA AGENDA 2030 EN CHILE]

As a result of the negative impact of the various crises in the global and national economy on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, in Chile a situation characterized as a polycrisis is emerging. This article pays special attention to the global economic crises of 2008 (caused by the conditions of financial deregulation in the United States) and 2020 (produced by the COVID-19 pandemic). The 2008 recession is associated with the economic order and the 2020 depression with a health issue. Nonetheless, both contractions have cyclical behavior of decline and recovery in the world economic system. After 2008, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) becomes more complicated. At the same time, new factors emerge that negatively affect both the Chilean and global economies and transform international economic relations. In the new environment, economic inequalities create trade advantages for some countries at the expense of others. In the long term, more adverse scenarios caused by a series of ecological, political, and geopolitical factors cannot be ruled out. © (2024), (Iberoamerica (Russian Federation)). All rights reserved.
