Experimental research on the RUDN University campus on the issue of exhaust fumes

The object of the study is the campus/student housing of the Russian Peoples' Friendship University named after Patrice Lumumba. According to a number of monitoring centres, the Central Federal District of Russia ranks first among all districts in terms of vehicle exhaust emissions, with some 2,825 tonnes of vehicle exhaust emitted per year. Noise pollution is also an important contributor to environmental and human health impacts. Its impact extends to the surrounding area. The chapter describes the field research on the RUDN campus, as well as the results of the conducted research. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.
