THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MULTIPOLAR WORLD POSES NEW CHALLENGES TO MEDIA COOPERATIONBETWEEN CHINA AND RUSSIA

The world today is undergoing major changes unseen in a century and is standing at a turning point in history. The world's economic foundation and political landscape are changing rapidly. The world's greatest development is not only the general trend of historical development, but also the general expectation of the international community. Although the COVID- 19 epidemic has profoundly changed human society, the general direction of the world's largest economic globalization and democratization of international relations has not changed (4). Multipolarity is reflected in all aspects, including politics, economy, culture, media, etc., and will inevitably affect international cooperation. As two of the most influential countries in the world, China and Russia's cooperation not only remains at the country-to-country level, but also affects the world's pattern and situation. In this information age, the role of media has expanded unprecedentedly and is the most important means of international communication. At the same time, the diversification of new media has brought more possibilities and challenges to Chinese and Russian media. Therefore, in today's rapidly changing international environment, improving the ability of Sino-Russian media cooperation, coping with emerging challenges, and taking the relationship between the two countries further are important issues that contemporary media communicators should think about. This article will set the multipolar world and new media changes as the main research background to study the new challenges emerging in Sino-Russian media cooperation.
