Tríticum aestívum is one of the most widely grown crops in the world, so studying its genetic bases is extremely important. These features are of interest for its genetic research by scientists, primarily by changing the set of chromosomes. From year to year, the selection of wheat continues, new varieties and hybrids with improved characteristics areintroduced. In current varieties associated with diseases and pests, the amount of protein in the grain and yield increased. With the help of the foundations of character inheritance, it is possible to continue improving Tríticum aestívum to obtain the necessary baking properties and high yield.
