РЕЧЕВОЙ АКТ ПРИГЛАШЕНИЕ И ПРОБЛЕМЫ ПОНИМАНИЯ: МЕЖКУЛЬТУРНЫЙ АСПЕКТ

Статья посвящена функционально-прагматическим особенностям английского приглашения и трудностям, испытываемым представителями русской коммуникативной культуры при их общении с англичанами и американцами. На основе эмпирических данных, полученных в ходе этнографического наблюдения и анкетирования, выявляются различия между истинными и ложными приглашениями англоязычных коммуникантов, их функциями и средствами реализации. Делается попытка объяснить различия между английскими и русскими приглашениями через особенности культуры и менталитета.

SPEECH ACT INVITATION IN AN INTERCULTURAL CONTEXT

The present article is dedicated to the functional and pragmatic peculiarities of an «invitation» in the English language and the difficulties faced by the Russians while communicating with the English and the Americans. The research is based on empirical data received through ethnographic observations as well as questionnaires, which reveal the difference between a genuine and false invitation of the English speakers, its function and means of expression. The article makes an attempt to explain the difference between an English and Russian «invitation» through differences in culture and mentality.
