В статье содержится обзор внешней культурной политики Советского Союза. Анализируются стратегические преимущества, институты и приемы советской культурно-коммуникационной системы. Автор полагает, что современная «мягкая сила» России нуждается в адаптации многолетнего опыта информационного противоборства СССР и США.

"THE SOFT FORCE" FOREIGN POLICY OF THE USSR

The article presents the survey of the USSR foreign cultural policy. There's analysis of its strategic advantages, institutes, modes and means of the Soviet cultural and communication system. According to the author's point of view, to build up modern Russian «soft power» strategy it's necessary to take into consideration the longstanding experience of the Russian-American confrontation that included the sphere of information counteraction as well.
