Статья посвящена проблемам становления и развития гуманистической традиции в культурах Латинской Америки. Латиноамериканская цивилизация сложилась как самостоятельное явление на основе синтеза различных культур, каждая из которых содержит свои традиции и элементы, в том числе и гуманистические. Идея гуманизма в этом регионе развивалась под влиянием европейских культур, достижений и гуманистических мотивов доколумбовых цивилизаций, деятельности и свидетельств испанских хронистов, их современников, потомков испанских конкистадоров и индейской знати, а также трудов мыслителей периода борьбы за независимость.

From the history of formation and development of humanistic traditionS in the cultures of Latin America

The article is devoted to the issues of formation and development of humanistic traditions in the cultures of Latin America. Latin American civilization emerged as an independent phenomenon based on the synthesis of different cultures, each containing its traditions and elements, including humanistic ones. The idea of humanism developed in the region under the influence of European cultures, the achievements and humanistic motives of pre-Columbian civilizations, activities and evidence of Spanish Chronicles and their contemporaries, the descendants of Spanish conquistadors, and Indian nobles as well as the works of thinkers during the period of struggle for independence.
