TO THE 50 ^TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PEOPLES’ FRIENDSHIP UNIVERSITY OF RUSSIA

The article sets forth the history of formation of the International law department of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. It shows the consolidation of scientific and pedagogical traditions of the Department, gradual formation of its original scientific school, which origins saw such outstanding domestic international lawyers as V.M. Shurshalov, R.A. Tuzmukhamedov, I.P. Blishchenko, G.P. Zhukov, V.А. Kartashkin and many other professors who have formed its contemporary scientific potential. The contemporary trends of the development of the Department and its scientific school are shown.
