The practical aspects of gold heap leaching intensively metamorphosed rock of the dumps of Muruntau auriferous quartz ore deposit (Uzbekistan)

The proposed relatively low-cost technology of heap leaching of gold makes possible profitable mining of ore with gold content 1-2 g/m, which makes it economically viable to reprocess the off-balance ore dumps of the gold-mining enterprises and allows to considerably increase the completeness of the minerals exploitation. Besides, the heap leaching technology allows to mine small deposits and ore occurrences, it radically changes the predictive estimate of profitability of gold-mining in a number of countries and regions.
