Effects of the foreign students' migration in Russia

The article considers political, social, demographic and economic effects of the migration of foreign students in Russia. It substantiates the necessity to encourage the influx of foreign students to Russia with the account of the interests of the country. In most developed countries the authorities are already aware of the significance of students' migration for formation of the human capital required for development of the national economy. They actively support the influx of student migrants to their countries and simplify the migration related rules for students. Regretfully, in Russia the role of students' migration is underestimated, although it is of great importance for the future development of Russia. It has at least four key effects: political, social, demographic and economic, and each of them is observed both at the federal and regional levels.
