Морфологические основы изменения сократительной функции левого желудочка при острой очаговой ишемии

Focal ischemia of the left ventricle (LV) was provoked in rabbits by ligation of a branch of the left coronary artery. Real and maximal intraventricular pressure were measured 24, 72 and 120 hours after surgery. Pumping ability of the LV was estimated on the basis of some calculation data. Morphological state of the LV was studied by the light microscopy of semi-thin sections at the same terms. Results: real and potential contractive activity of the LV significantly decreased in rabbits with focal ischemia. Morphological analysis revealed a marked restructuring in the peri-infarct area, including, significant decrease in the number of capillaries. The changes observed in our investigation enable to expect a further worsening of the left ventricular dysfunction.
