In order to provide the security of the steel structures acting under seismic loading, the load-bearing capacity of which is determined by a material deformability, it is essential to know material deformation allowed values. For this purpose, the predicted deformation value en should provide, on the one hand, the structural safety and, on the other hand, the maximum use of the the load-bearing capacity of the given material. On the basis of experimental data, the relations «εn / εст - Ig n» for the 3-quality structural steel at different number of repeated loadings (n = 1 -j-2-106). A particular attention is given to the impact of the loading rate on the yield strength, i.e. on the steel deformability under repeated loading evaluated by around 100-1000 cycles. Such a loading type occurs under seismic activity.
