Safery of Self-Supporting Walls During Rehabiliation of Brickwork Buildings

Quite often during the rehabilitation of existing buildings the situation happens, when the face walls, partially or completely, are retained, while the interior space is to be rebuilt completely with the substitution of old floors by new ones. In the course of the complete demolishing of the building interior space structures the face walls are statically became self-supporting ones for the rehabilitation period. In such a case, the problem of providing more stability of these walls is arisen. This paper analyses the stability of the self-supporting brickwork walls using finite elements-based computing complex "Lyra 9.2". The analyses have been carried out both in the elastic phase and taking into account the nonlinear diagram of brickwork distortion. As loads, the wind loads and the dead load of walls have been considered. The stability of the self-supporting walls has been analysed both in the linear wall and in the conjugated in plan "Г" and "ГТ'-shaped walls. As a result, the safety coefficients, as to the stability of the analysed variants of self-supporting walls have been revealed.
