Asian Priorities in the New World Pattern of Industrial Forces (Redistribution of the World's Industrial Potential

Examination of the territorial structure of world industry is a promising line of theoretical and practical study for economists, economic geographers and people working in related fields. Analysis of extensive sociological and statistical material has shown that in the latter part of the 20 ^th century considerable territorial changes occurred at macro-economic level in the distribution of world industry. There has been a redistribution of industrial potential, particularly in favour of Asian countries. World industry's center, formerly located in Western Europe, moved after 1940-th to North America and is now moving to the Asian, or more accurately to the Asian-Pacific region. Asian priorities in the new distribution of world industrial forces are very apparent.
