Africa The article examines transformations in the sphere of education taking place in the United States of America at present. They are strategically aimed at development of its flexibility with the purpose of preparing modern high-skilled specialists. They are characterized by concentration of the state control over the education management, unification of planning with due account of the national and international changes and growing requirements to professional qualities of teachers, relations inside and between universities, expansion of the role of the USA Education Ministry, particularly in financing research in the sphere of education.
