Сельскохозяйственная кооперация в Нигерии

Развитие кооперации в Нигерии проходило поэтапно: сначала появились наиболее простые ее типы в сфере обращения (сбытовая, кредитная), а затем и в производственной. Кооперация в Нигерии развивалась прежде всего в аграрной сфере. Федеральный департамент сельскохозяйственной кооперации был создан в 1979 г. при Министерстве сельского хозяйства для поддержки государственной политики по аграрной кооперации.

Agricultural cooperation in Nigeria

Cooperative development in Nigeria started with marketing and credit societies, then later producer cooperatives. The first initiatives into cooperative idea in Nigeria had their origin in the agricultural sector. Taking cognizance of the importance of agricultural sector and the role they can play in the development of the agricultural sector and the economy as a whole, the Federal Government established the Federal Department of Agricultural Cooperatives in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in 1979.
