XVIII WORLD CONGRESS OF INTERNATIONAL POLITICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION ABOUT GLOBALIZATION PROBLEMS

Author analyses history of International Political Science Association and Its Congresses, program documents, rules, work of the collective and individual participators of IPSA. This article is devoted to the analysis of the results and significance of XVIII World Congress of International Political Science Association in Quebec, Canada, 1 -6 August, 2000. The article describes and analyses the works of XV111 World Congress of International Political Science Association, its structure, agenda, atmosphere of work, list of participants, their thesis, composition of Russian delegation at the Congress and so on. Author agreed with conclusions and arguments of Congress, that globalization, as a general tendency of XXI age, has deep contradictions and mixed character. To the point of view of the author of this article Russian Federation should choose and produce its own national path of the development in the age of globalization. It may be strategy of national advantages of nations with Russian peculiarities, effective, "clever" and social state, priority in development of nation science and high-technology, realistic and profitable foreign policy, integrative national, humanitarian idea and super-task creation of prosperity and power Russia, as a basis of Euro-Asian civilization. The author pay great attention to the problem of activity in sphere of international interactive cooperation between political scientists over the world through the Internet.
