PRISTOJNOST OR ПРИСТОЙНОСТЬ: FINDING A LINGUOCULTURAL EQUIVALENT

Different societies regard politeness differently. Cultural conflict can arise if these differences are not understood, especially in languages within the same language group, such as Croatian and Russian. This article focuses on a comparative corpus study of the Croatian term pristojnost and the Russian word пристойность . The study has shown that pristojnost and пристойность overlap , but do not match completely. However, to get a bigger picture of this, more research is needed.

Разные общества относятся к вежливости по-разному. Непонимание этих различий вызывает культурный конфликт, особенно в языках одной языковой группы, напр. в хорватском и русском языках. Данная статья посвящена сравнительному корпусному изучению хорватского понятия pristojnost и русского понятия пристойность . Исследование показало, что их значения совпадают частично, не полностью, поэтому нужны исследования для их понимания.
