РУССКАЯ ПОМОЩЬ МОНАСТЫРЮ ДУЖИ

Монастырь Дужи - один из самых значительных монастырей Захумско-Герцеговинской епархии за всю историю. Монастырь приобрел важную историческую роль после венецианского взрыва и разрушения монастыря Тврдош в 1694 году. С этого года и до 1763 года Дужи был резиденцией Герцеговинской митрополии. В последующий период история монастыря Дужи ознаменовалась эпохой мятежей и войн, восстанием герцога Луки Вукаловича, а затем восстанием в Герцеговине (1875-1878). В этот период произошел важный для монастыря эпизод - монастырь получил в дар от России церковный колокол. Таким образом, Дужи стал первым религиозным сооружением, из которого звонил колокол, в районе Требине после падения под властью турок в 1466 году. Это во многом способствовало значимости и истории монастыря, о котором мы подробно писали в статье. Этот научный труд был обработан на основе исторических источников, литературы и периодической печати, с полным применением научной методологии, с целью пролить свет на еще один важный исторический эпизод этого святилища.

The Duži Monastery is one of the most significant monasteries of the Zahumlje-Herzegovina Eparchy throughout history. The monastery acquired an important historical role after the Venetian blasting and demolition of the Tvrdoš Monastery in 1694. From that year until 1763, Duži was the seat of the Metropolitanate of Herzegovina. In the following period, the history of the Duži Monastery was marked by the era of rebellion and wars, the uprising of duke Luka Vukalović and later the uprising in Herzegovina (1875-1878). In that period, an important episode happened for the Monastery - the Monastery received a church bell as a gift from Russia. Thus, Duži became the first religious building from which a bell rang in the Trebinje area, since 1466. This greatly contributed to the importance and history of the Monastery, which we wrote about in detail in the paper. This scientific work/paper was processed based on historical sources, literature and newspapers, with the full application of scientific methodology, with the aim of illuminating another important historical episode of this sanctuary.
