For decades, Africa was filled by countless number of conflicts, death, and tragedy. It is a shame that most of those tragedies and deaths somehow often been ignored or limited from media's attention. Most of the countries in Africa are involved in war internally and also externally. From all of those countries, seven of them are directly involved in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the Sierra Leone crisis and the war in Ethiopia/Eritrea and the various other civil wars. Most of the medias nowadays are focusing on conflicts and wars that rages in the Middle East thus makes Africa became less concerned by the world. Of all conflicts that rages through Africa, many people seem to wonder that what are the main causes of conflicts that currently happened in Africa. Usually, conflicts in Africa are caused by Political corruption, lack of respect for rule of law, human rights violations and blood diamonds. However, the legacy European Colonialism can be categorized as the cause of conflicts in Africa as well. During European Colonialism in Africa, the European create artificial boundaries. The artificial boundaries created by colonial rulers as they ruled and finally left Africa had the effect of bringing together many different ethnic people within a nation that did not reflect, nor have (in such a short period of time) the ability to accommodate or provide for, the cultural and ethnic diversity.
