THE STUDY OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN LATIN AMERICA. BRAZIL & MEXICO CASES

This article says that with the strengthening of the foreign policy projection of Brazil and Mexico in the region and in the world, the study of international relations in these countries, with the interaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the academic community, research and analytical centers, the media and civil society itself, becomes an urgent task. Of course, academic, and diplomatic thought differ in their goals and time of action. University thought turns most often to the analysis and study of the factors that influence the behavior of people and institutions, and here foreign policy and international relations are a phenomenon that can be understood by examining the causes, motivations, and consequences. The authors show how the study of foreign policy reality, changes in the international arena takes place, and what is necessary to understand the factors that determine this, the dynamics and evolution of the system of international relations. The emphasis is also placed on the fact that in Mexico and Brazil, the need to study external realities, to understand the factors that influence the situation of the country, the dynamics of their development, becomes extremely important for the protection of their own rights and interests.
