APPROACHES TO POLITICAL DISCOURSE DEFINITION

In this article the author reviews the structural and functional approaches to defining discourse and political discourse, as well as provides her own definition of political discourse. According to the author, political discourse should be understood as a combination of people's communicative activities in the sphere of politics, their extralinguistic background, product, and distinctive features. The research is conducted using methods of comparison, discourse analysis and content analysis.
