CONCEPTUAL ARCHITECTURE. NEUENDORF HOUSE

The article describes modern architecture and its tendencies. It deals with the topic of conceptual architecture on the basis of architecture of Nouendorf House. The text is based on the idea of conceptual architecture and shows the significance of some basic elements of construction. Simon Unwin represents us the Wall that becomes a meaning of the whole idea of the Nouendorf House. The first part of the article represents us the architectural meaning of the house and its elements. Nouendorf is like musical etude. But also, it has conceptually strong geometry. In this example construction is not only for technical part of building, but also it has its own sense. The second part touches upon the problem of the powers of the wall and shows how an architect can manipulate the perception of people by this wall and other elements. It accompanies visitors all the way through the house and shows breath-taking views inside the House and outside - skies and forests of Mallorca. Analyzing such works of architecture is a significance part not only for us as specialists, but also in developing our philosophical approach to different buildings. Nouendorf House may seem simple at the first sight, but when you try to understand it, you can see and even feel a lot.
