В статье рассматривается история западно-сахарской проблемы. Автор подробно исследует позиции участников конфликта: Марокко, Алжира и Фронта ПОЛИСАРИО, а также ООН, Испании и ЕС. Обращая особое внимание на современное состояние кризиса вокруг Западной Сахары, автор анализирует возможные варианты его урегулирования, а также выделяет существующие препятствия на пути выхода из сложившейся ситуации в Западной Сахаре.

Conflict around Western Sahara: History, Development Trends and Settlement Prospects

The article examines the history of the Western Sahara problem. It analyzes the positions of the parties to the conflict: Morocco, Algeria, POLISARIO Front, as well as the UN, Spain and the European Union. Paying special attention to the present crisis around Western Sahara, the author analyzes possible variants of its settlement, and also singles out the existing obstacles on the way out of the present situation in Western Sahara.
