В статье рассказано о жизни в эвакуации во время Великой Отечественной войны, о том, как жили дети, эвакуированные из Москвы. О трудностях и лишениях, которые испытывали и дети, и взрослые во время эвакуации. В трудные годы войны детей, как могли уберегали от тяжелейших условий жизни, хотя в любом городе или селе Советского Союза жилось в эти годы нелегко. В статье использованы воспоминания М. П. Карпенко - дедушки автора статьи, ребенка в годы войны, очевидца событий. В статье также затрагивается вопрос о работе средств массовой информации в Москве в военные годы.

The article is devoted to life in evacuation during the Great Patriotic War, about how the children evacuated from Moscow lived. About the difficulties and hardships experienced by both children and adults during the evacuation. During the difficult years of the war, children were protected from the most difficult living conditions as best they could, although life in any city or village of the Soviet Union was not easy during those years. The article uses the memoirs of M.P. Karpenko - the grandfather of the author of the article, a child during the war years, an eyewitness to the events. The article also touches upon the issue of the work of the mass media in Moscow during the war years.
