The main goal of diabetes mellitus treatment is to maintain blood sugar levels as close to normal as possible, which entails the need for monitoring and regular administration of insulin-containing drugs. At the moment, we can measure glucose levels in animals with diabetes mellitus in a new and fairly safe way, namely, with the FreeStyle LibreLink sensor.
