What is at stake for Russian voters: regional electoral behavior

"What is at stake for Russian voters: regional electoral behavior" (by Vladimir Zubkov and Alexey Fediakin) analyses varying versions to explain Russians' electoral behavior on the basis of surveys in three regions of Russia. Four types of concepts are discussed as determinants for this behavior - goal-rational, value-oriented, traditional, and affective. Limitations of those concepts are indicated since they permit to single out but a fraction of behavior factors. Theories of risks are seen as an addition, though related methods are rarely used in Russia.
