In Vietnam, the 2015 Civil Code was adopted by the 13th National Assembly at its 10th session on October 24, 2015, and entered into force on 1 January 2017. Compared to the provisions of the 2005 Civil Code, in the 7th part on Relations Civil Code with foreign elements, the provisions of Part 5 of the Civil Code 2015 have many changes and developments, both in terms of structure, quantity and content. In which there are important changes in the choice of law applicable to contracts with foreign elements. The 5th part of Civil Code 2015 is also an important indication that Vietnam's international justice is catching up with the trend of legalization and harmonization of Private International Law of other countries.
