Dependence of the positions and intensities of pi(l),pi*-absorption bands on the degree of ionization of hydroxyanthraquinones

The positions and intensities of the pi(l),pi*-absorption bands of each tautomer of hydroxyanthraquinones and their anions were found to linearly depend on the number of oxido groups in the molecule.
