Russian consumer culture shown in postmodernist novel generation "p"

This article is devoted to the consideration of the features of the literary significance of the novel of Victor Pelevin Generation “P” in the modern literary circle. The author is known as a representative of Russian postmodernism, his works are in demand in Russia and abroad. In the novel Generation “P”, from the point of view of postmodernism, the modern Russian social picture is considered, supported by advertising and money, television as a mass media, as well as a new generation of consumer culture with Russian characteristics and expresses its thoughts on the fate and future of Russia. © 2021, Rossiiskaya Akademiya Nauk, Institut Istorii (Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of General Hist).
