Analysis of Non-preemptive Scheduling for 5G Network Model Within Slicing Framework

5G networks slicing technology, recognized as one of the possible solutions to radio resources scarcity and networks inflexibility problems, is getting the most attention from researchers and standard organizations around the world. This situation was expected since slicing capabilities are very well suited for mobile networks operators allowing significant changes in their range of services and daily operations. In addition, some researches showed that priority-based scheduling mechanisms can be implemented within slicing framework. This paper analyzes the performance measures of a wireless network implementing priority-based scheduling mechanism within slicing framework and described as queueing system with buffer and retrial queue. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
