Space Resource Utilization as Sustainable Economic Growth Perspectives: Legal Aspects

Off-Earth mining has become a more and more popular topic for discussion at the national and international levels these days. It is predicted that such utilization could start in the nearest possible time and become a remunerable new type of economic area, aiming at inclusive growth and subsequent economic one. It establishes a safer and more secure working environment as it is stated in SDG 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth.” Also, it is very important to bear in mind that the space sector allows non-governmental sectors (business) to benefit from space. However, such utilization is required to be well regulated including ensuring its long-term sustainability.
