Information Workers’ Workplaces in the Conditions of Digitalization: About Inforgs by L. Floridi and Self-Communication by M. Castells

Abstract: Predictions of the fate of information workers in the conditions of digital transformation are considered. Some philosophers are beginning to act as futurologists, predicting the disappearance of information and communication intermediaries due to the emergence of decentralized social, scientific, and other virtual communications that allow user to exchange media products independently without intermediaries. Criticism of such ideals is given, as well as a constructive analysis of categories of genuine and/or fake media products, the content of which may consist of an informational, disinformation, and/or misinformation component, as well as be meaningless for the user of media environment, is presented using the category-tensor approach. © 2022, Allerton Press, Inc.
