Aim of the study: determining the effectiveness of using podcasting inteaching spoken foreign language skills in a professional context to students of Economics (spoken professional foreign language). To address the above aim of thestudy, a complex of theoretical and empirical research methods was used, includingtheoretical, empirical and numerical methods. The main research method was themethod of pedagogical experiment. The contribution of the article is a developedprocess to set up the teaching of spoken professional foreign language skills to studentsof Economics with the use of podcasting, with a specific focus on the aspects ofpreparatory work, the teaching process itself and assessments of students’ performance.The results of the pedagogical experiment suggest that students’ spoken professionalforeign language competences improved after podcasting was adopted in the process of studies.
