The role of D. N. Bludov in the development of Russian jurisprudence

One of the most famous lawyers of the Russian Empire, who contributed to the development of domestic legal science was Dmitry Nikolaevich Bludov, a representative of an enlightened bureaucracy, the Minister of Justice (1830-1831, 1838) and the Minister of the Interior (1831-1838). The authors of the article consider his professional and social activities, in particular in the field of literature and participation in the "Arzamas" society. Particular attention is paid to the role of Dmitry Nikolaevich in the preparation of one of the draft judicial reforms of 1864 and his contribution to the development of new principles of justice.
