“Falsifiers of History” and the power of words [«Фальсификаторы истории» и сила слова]

The article discusses the history of the 1948 brochure “Falsifiers of History. Historical reference” by the Soviet Information Bureau, which was published in more than 500 thousand copies in different languages of the world. The relevance of the research is due to the fact that recently in the world community interest in the methods and techniques of psychological manipulation of public opinion in the media has increased rapidly. The article pays special attention to the analysis of archival materials of the Russian State Archive of Social and Political History; the authors make an attempt to analyze the text by J. Stalin and its editing from the perspective of historical objectivism. Here is also presented a review of the most common tools of information influence on the public consciousness, which were popular during the Cold War and are actively used in the present time. © 2021 Ltd "Integration: Education and Science".
