The article discusses the concept and essence of the technical and economic appearance of a helicopter. The basis for making effective decisions on determining the technical and economic appearance of advanced helicopter technology is, on the one hand, marketing research that identifies and analyzes consumer behavior, desires and preferences. On the other hand, the basis for making effective decisions is the actions of competitors in the markets and the company’s ability to create products that meet the parameters of market competitiveness. As a result of determining its capabilities, the company can calculate the cost of production and estimate the time required for its development. An algorithm for determining the technical and economic appearance of promising helicopter technology is proposed. Specific technical and economic characteristics, dynamic and specific market indicators, as well as environmental factors, which must be taken into account within the framework of the proposed algorithm, are noted. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
