Intercultural approach in teaching of courtesy on lessons of French Foreign Language to multicultural publics: The experience of Astrakhan State University (Russia) [L'approche interculturelle dans l'enseignement/ apprentissage de la politesse en Français Langue Étrangère auprès d'un public pluriculturel: Le cas de l'université d'Astrakhan (Russie)]

At present, it is difficult to ignore the intercultural approach in the teaching / learning of foreign languages. At the University of Astrakhan, French is one of the languages taught to a culturally heterogeneous public because of the multi-ethnic character of the region. This heterogeneity sometimes creates difficulties within French classes (mainly because of the common misconceptions that both have about the cultures involved). The example of politeness (which is necessary to teach from the beginning because a number of conventions are not shared), will confirm the need for interculturality in the teaching of foreign languages. © Revue du Gerflint (France).
