Energy security: China policy for the central asian republic

The article seeks to analyze China`s involvements within the Central Asian region with emphasis on the energy sector, and how that has shaped its dealings with these republics. Author`s findings highlight that, China`s current quest in pursuing its energy security policy in the region has further helped in strengthening such cordial relations with the Central Asian republics, since most of its crude pipelines are laid through these states. The study spells out some policy suggestions and concludes that, it is in China`s interest to protect and maintain good relations within the region since such involvements guarantees its energy security agenda. © 2021, Rossiiskaya Akademiya Nauk, Institut Istorii (Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of General Hist.
