EVALUATION OF THE PHYTOTOXIC ACTION OF ANTI-ICE REAGENTS IN THE MOSCOW REGION

The paper discusses modern methods of dealing with ice on roads: mechanical, frictional, thermal, and chemical. The definition and composition of anti-icing reagents used in Moscow and the Moscow region are given. Using the biotesting method, the phytotoxicity of snow samples contaminated with remnants of anti-icing reagentsto varying degrees was assessed. The phytoeffect is determined by comparing the root lengths of oat seeds sprouted in saline and distilled water. It was found that saline solutions resulting from 97 the melting of snow contaminated with anti-icing reagents snow had a pronounced phytotoxic effect.
