Проведен анализ наукоемкости экономики Российской Федерации и динамики производных индексов, определяющих позиции страны в мировых рейтингах. Обозначены основные дискуссионные моменты, возникающие как при формировании понятий, так и при их использовании для сбора и анализа статистической информации.
