Русский либерал К.Д. Кавелин в современной отечественной историографии

В обзоре рассматривается современная отечественная историография, посвященная теоретику российского либерализма Константину Дмитриевичу Кавелину. В историографической традиции до сих пор отсутствуют однозначные и общепринятые суждения о взглядах Кавелина, его роли в развитии общественного движения страны, особенно в условиях пореформенной модернизации, что делает задачу обобщения историографического опыта насущной и открывающей новые перспективы для дальнейших изысканий.

Russian liberal K.D. Kavelin in modern Russian historiography

In the analytical work the authors present a review of the modern Russian historiography devoted to the theorist of liberalism - Konstantin Kavelin. In the historiographical tradition, there are still no unambiguous and generally accepted judgments about the views of K. Kavelin, his role in the development of the social movement in Russia, especially in the conditions of post-reform modernization, which makes the task of summarizing the historiographical experience urgent and opens new prospects for further research.
